World Book Day 2025 at the Library of Birmingham

Saturday the 8th March was a truly special day at the Library of Birmingham, where I had the joy of celebrating World Book Day with some of the incredible team at the National Literacy Trust.

I had the pleasure of delivering two sessions with so many lovely people who came along to listen to Birmingham Boy, join in great conversations, and share in the power of stories. Seeing Birmingham Boy being read and enjoyed on the story steps of this beautiful library was a real privilege—one of those moments that stays with you.

A huge thank you to everyone who attended, for your thoughtful questions, for the chats and all the great tips on how to encourage reading at home and for making the day even more special. And, of course, my deepest thanks to Kyle and the team at the National Literacy Trust for making it all happen.

It was a day filled with stories, connections, and the shared love of books—just brilliant!
